9. I was a bit nervous and worried about working with a personal trainer. "Is he going to judge me for not being in better shape?" and "Am I going to be able to handle the workouts that he is going to have me do?" were a couple of my biggest concerns when I decided to work with Trainer Scott. I can tell you that both of those thoughts and any worry I had about working with Trainer Scott went away immediately. 11. If you want to get in shape but are like me and hate going to the average gym, you should definitely checkout group training with Scott. Its motivating because Scott provides guidance and instruction plus he makes the workouts fun. The most important piece is that he pushes you so that you dont give up on yourself at times when you may have given up if you were working out alone. Great atmosphere and fast results.
12. I have been working with Scott for about 7 months in those months he helped me prepared for my first triathlon and lose almost 70 pounds. When I first saw Scott on his website I thought, he looks scary I hope I get ahold of his training partner Jason because he looks much nicer but as it happened I reached Scott and I have never been happier. He pushes me in every session but never lets me get discouraged or unmotivated. He has also become a great friend which is very important in a personal training situation because I trust him fully and feel very confident that he would never do me wrong. 18. After being unhappy with my physical appearance for about 2 years; I wondered what I needed to do to get back into shape. I was tired all the time and spent what time I was not at work - on the couch! I would eat all the time, mostly out of boredom. 19. I'm a 44 year old Masters Swimmer and was never properly instructed on how to navigate the weight room. Gym memberships etc. I was looking to enhance my performance in the water by doing something different on land. I found that with Scott Harwood, 2 intense workouts per week coupled with my swim routine 4 times a week and Scott has help me gain strength, endurance, and size....2 inches on nonexistent biceps, 1 inch on my chest, and almost 2 inches from my waistline. 21. Scott's humor and down to earth demeanor really makes a tough workout an enjoyable hour. At first you'll be focusing so much on the exercises just to make sure you don't pass out (drink your water - it's intense!). But two or three classes in, when your body's getting used to the intensity, Scott's workouts turn into a type of comedy hour. Nonetheless, after about a month of doing the class three days a week, I'm in much better cardiovascular shape than I was coming in. There's no harassment about not being able to keep up and no pressure to do something you aren't physically able to do. The class is what you make it, but Scott provides an environment where it's encouraging to come back several times a week.
22. Guaranteed you don't push yourself hard enough at the gym... but Scott will kick your butt and you'll feel it for days. No pain no gain right? His workouts are do-able on your own, but come in regularly to get pushed to the limit. You WILL see results FAST. He's tons more affordable than trainers at a gym and much more fun. Highly recommended. :)
23. Okay, so i am generally too lazy to work out. Scott emails and text messages you to remind you to show up, and then makes sure you really do. The workouts are great - a combination of cardio, strength, and endurance. After that, its all up to you!

He incorporates a wide variety of exercises and techniques into his workouts making sure to work all your different muscles. This also makes each session more stimulating and fun! 26. I started bootcamp with Scott last summer and loved it!! It was the best training that I could have ever got. So after a while I tried to do it on my own and didn't return to bootcamp until just recently. Get your ass to bootcamp is what Scott told me on Myspace! You can't get the same workout on your own. Scott gives you the motivation to work hard and you leave your session feeling great and accomplished. I like his workouts because they are fun and you don't even know the time is passing. Not only do you get a great workout that targets all your "special needs" areas but you get great advise on how to work sore muscles and stretches that work, AND you get to talk crap to Scott the whole time! Or he's talking crap to you....Time flys when you are talking about dumb rap songs and making fun of his life!! I highly recommend him to all my friends!
27. I have been working out at the Bootcamps with Scott on and off for about a year! If you need motivation, this is it, he texts you, emails you before your workout session so that you come! He's a great guy, great sense of humor, NOT intimidating at all, and he really listens to your goals and helps you reach them! I lost 10lbs my first month training with him and more than anything I got in shape and toned up! Now I am getting married in June (09) and I know he will get me in GREAT shape for my big day! 28. I've been working out with Scott for almost two years now. I starting seeing muscle definition within a few weeks after my first workout. After a few months I was able to run a 5k and did 100 push-ups in a workout. He makes sure you're strengthening your core while you're working everything else. Scott's methods allowed me to retain my muscle definition and the majority of my muscle strength when I was unable to workout for a few weeks due to injuries (completely unrelated to working out with Scott). Lately I have only been able to workout with Scott on the weekends but I still feel I get a full workout and maintaining my muscle strength, tone and definition. I enjoy working out with him - he really knows his business and he's always creating new exercises that continue to challenge the body.
29. If you want to get in shape, see actual results, and not plateau this is the workout for you. Bootcamp, Group Class or Single One-on-One are all good. Be prepared as Scott may be for you too <little inside joke>. He's crass, but has what it takes to push your limits incrementally and take you through what you may think as a difficult thing to do. I started out out of shape, feeling it, looking it and had to contend with asthma. I have to tell you my body has changed for the better, maybe even in a vain way, work stress is gone, i eat healthy, endurance is up dramatically. 30. We have been working with Scott for almost a year now and he is a great trainer! His workouts are different each time, which keeps our muscles from getting use to a specific routine, and keeps us from getting bored. 38. Scott hates rap music....but he knows every word of every rap song. THis is part of his humor that makes the one-hour of working out fly by. 39. Scott does a great job of making you feel comfortable and welcome. He pushes you for the whole hour and really makes you work. Scott focuses on a complete body workout, after a few weeks I felt healthier and more energetic.
40. No....really.....I have been a member of many gyms and have been "athletic" for quite some time. I've run marathons and done half iron man's and granted those put me in awesome shape, working out with Scott 3 times a week has kept me feeling healthy and fit for the long run. I would say that if you can make 3 hours a week with Scott, you will shape up and drop unwanted pounds for sure. I have lost 20lbs and 2 21/2 pant sizes in 3 months with him. My favorite part about it is that I just have to show up 3 times a week and he motivates me to do the rest! It's better than any gym membership I've ever had. 41. So yeah, the title speaks for itself. I do the boot camp class Scott offers on Tues/Thurs nights and Saturday mornings. Its amazing. The first time I tried it, I thought I was going to die :) It is very intense. However, by continuing to push myself through, I have gotten progressively better at everything in a very short amount of time. Scott is extremely engaging...he keeps it fun and interesting the whole time. He keeps our minds off how "hard" something might be by telling great stories and making us laugh while we work out. The time literally flies, and before you know it, class is done, and you feel great. I highly recommend using Scott if you are looking for a trainer that can give you the results you want while keeping you excited to keep going back!
42. I trained with Scott for about 4 months before I abruptly had to move out of town but to this day I still miss his workouts. I had no weight to lose and just needed to tone up. I've always worked out but after my first 30-minute workout with him, I felt like a newbie. I felt muscles that I never even knew I had. I quickly toned up and to this day I still haven't seen results as fast as I did back when I trained with him. He's super funny and time flies when you're working out with him. If I ever move back to Denver, he'll definitely see my face again! Hire him as your trainer, you won't regret it! Scott, move up north so you can train me! Pretty please!
43. Started my day at 6:00am. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at Scott's gym and he was waiting for me. He is something of a Greek God - with blond hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!! Scott gave me a tour and showed me the machines. He took my pulse after five minutes on the treadmill. He was alarmed that my pulse was so fast, but I attribute it to standing next to him in his Lycra aerobic outfit. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which he conducted his boot camp class after my workout today. Very inspiring. Scott was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time he was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week!!
44. I am in decent shape, but I have always been 10 pounds from where I want to be. I have been working out with Scott for a month and have hit the weight I want. More importantly, I am doing activities with people much younger than I without worrying about whether I can keep up. I am so much stronger already! The classes are tough, but Scott makes the time fly with silly stories and guessing games about the songs playing or other current events. It is also really good meeting up with a whole bunch of others who are all working hard and having fun along the way. Scott could charge so much more because of the high value, but the price is so reasonable, I wish so many more people would learn about it and join the workouts. Scott is working to make Denver a bunch of the toughest bad asses around!
45. Scott makes a workout entertaining. I always thought I couldn't workout for an hour. I use to worked out at the gym on my own and oh my god I felt like the clock never moved and ended up quitting after 10 minutes! When you go to Scott's workouts the time flys and you actually feel like you had a great workout! You'll sweat, be sore the next day but man it feels wonderful! Scott makes the workout diverse and MOST of it is affordable! He offers bootcamp workouts, group training, and personal training. Also, you aren't stuck indoors in a stuffy room, we actually do some workout outside. He's a MUST!
46. Whether you do individual, group or bootcamp, Scott rarely duplicates a workout which keeps you and your muscles from getting into a boring routine. 47. I started going to Scott's boot camp about a month ago, and I can already feel a difference. I'ma triathlete so endurance is very important for me, and nothing kicks my butt more than boot camp!! The drills that Scott puts us though force the body to change and adapt. I feel like I can run faster and cycle harder than I ever could before, and my times are improving in each sport. I will continue to go to boot camp as it has now become an integral part of my training!! I highly recommend the class to anyone who is seeking a new challenge and wants to take it to the next level.
48. Scott's boot camps are intense yet effective. After 3 classes I noticed a difference in my strength, endurance and weight. He's laid back but he won't let you slack in class and is very good about explaining what each exercise focuses on. He also makes sure you are doing the exercise correctly with good form and intensity. Definitely a worthwhile class.
49. I hate the gym. All those buff men parading around and no conversations with anyone… Scott on the other hand makes working out FUN and you will see results. An hour goes by so fast that you end up motivated to work out for 2 hours.. Plus Scott has an endless amount of stories to tell and it’sa lot of bang for your buck. 50. Scott is an awesome trainer. He always pushes you to your limit. Which is great, because I would never ever be motivated enough to do that many reps on my own. It's been difficult for me to find a trainer that was "tough" enough to challenge me every time. Scott is that trainer.
